Calendar Kiddo is an online platform that connects you to the best child-friendly activities in and around your area.
Started by a Brooklyn-based mother who knew the challenges of a small child in a big city, Lauren, tired of toggling between platforms wanted a single platform listing all the drop-in classes suitable for her two year-old in her neighbourhood. The site focuses on “drop-in” classes or events for children aged between 0 and 5 years of age.
Together we developed a logo, brand mascot, basic style guide and digital assets to help Lauren launch the brand.
Buzzy, a bee was chosen as the mascot given bees ability find flowers, and pollen - which aligned well with the concept of finding the best activities in your area. The colour palette was kept bright, and broad palette given the product was focused on children, even though it speaks to mothers.
Icon development
The Calendar Kiddo icons have been designed to support the brand across all channels. They are designed with illustrations drawn over the base patten from the Calendar Kiddo brand.
Using these shapes help keep a system in place for designing an ever-growing family of icons, whilst giving freedom to continue developing icons that are playful and dynamic.
Social media assets
Easily editable social media assets and guidelines were developed for facebook and instagram to allow the CalendarKiddo team to manage their social media and keep it on brand.
